There must be a failure to communicate

Good morning All,
Every year in the fall I stop by at a local KFC. I collect from the
bushes some nice fat rose hips for seed. These old rosa rugosa's were
planted as ornamentals. They are as orphaned as a Biafran poster child. I
never felt particularly comfortable using them directly as food, but they
abide here and grow happily under pretty adverse conditions.
Anyway, each year the (new) manager and I go through the same dance. It
goes something like this:
Me: "I'd like to pick some of your rose hips"
Mgr: "What?"
Me: "The rose's out front? I'd like to pick some of their hips"
Mgr: " We got legs and breasts, but no hips"
Me: "Is it ok if I pick some?"
Mgr: "Yah, what ever"
The upshot of this story I have some rosa rugosa seed to give away. The
folks that want some will send me some private e-mail to:

They get where to send a SASE and their SASE gets 'em 50 rosa rugosa
seeds, and my experiences growing them in NH.
