Plutonium into space -- on the highways, railways, ships and submarines

new, burrowing nuclear bombs -- continuing "subcritical" nuclear
testing

avoiding the landmine treaty -- ignoring World Court opinions

THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS MUCH TO ANSWER FOR…

WE URGE PRESIDENT CLINTON to STOP the CASSINI launch of 72.3 lbs. of
plutonium into space Monday morning, or any time in the future! Hear
what experts have to say about the launch. Read about it on our website:
http://prop1.org (go to "Current Events" -- "Cassini"). Call the White
House Hotline (202-456-1111-0), email president@whitehouse.gov, telegram
888-NO-CASSINI ($charge) -- COME!

NO MOBILE CHERNOBYL - We urge the House to defeat the "Nuclear Waste
Policy Act of 1997" (HR-1270), which passed the Senate as S-104. Plans
to transport the waste from the nation's nuclear power / weapons
facilities "temporarily" to Yucca Mountain, Nevada are dangerous. Las
Vegas Review Journal reported an earthquake of 4.0 magnitude at the
Nevada Test Site at 6:36 a.m. Friday, September 12, 1997, centered about
28 miles east of Beatty NV, according to the seismological laboratory of
the University of Nevada, Reno. (A map of all the past 50 earthquakes
listed in Nevada can be found at
http://www.seismo.unr.edu/Catalog/nbe-big.gif) Colorado Springs Gazette
reported a transport accident on October 1, 1997.
