Sometime back, someone reported on the DEA requesting sales receipts for
customers of Ronin Publishing. Here's their reply. Also, please note, that
as of yesterday, they are being audited by the IRS. They wonder if there's a
connection?

Ronin has received your request for names and addresses of Arizona
residents
who purchased Marijuana Hydroponics, a book which Ronin publishes.

Ronin is law abiding and cooperates with officials. However, the vagueness
and breadth of your request gives Ronin some concern about customers'
privacy
and First and Fourth Amendment rights. Ronin requests that a judge issues a
specific order.

Ronin publishes books in three areas: career and self-development,
visionary
alternatives, and psychedelic references for educational and informational
purposes. Customers include government agents, attornies, substance
counselors, teachers, schools and libraries, parents, police and undercover
agents, soldiers of fortune (or people who imagine themselves to be such),
writers, journalists, and private individuals.

Marijuana Hydroponics has been widely distributed for over ten years,
including through traditional book trade channels as well as alternative
distributors and stores. The bulk of the sales of Marijuana Hydroponics are
wholesale. Retail customers are actively encouraged to go to local stores.

Ronin does not maintain mail order records by book title. When the judge
orders it, Ronin can provide names and addresses of Arizona residents who
recently bought one or more books from Ronin, but will not be able to tell
you if the customer purchased Marijuana Hydroponics, or Beating Job
Burnout,
or History of Underground Comics, etc.

Again, Ronin wants to cooperate. Please inform Ronin when you have a
subpena
issued by a judge, so that Ronin's attorney can respond.
