Full Moon, January 2000

Guatamalean Rainbow Gathering. For 10 days around the full moon of January near the village of Santiago Atitlan, on Lake Atitlan in the altiplano. We need scouts & seed camp folks early to find a gathering site as the locals have planted a milpa on our usual beach on the slopes of San Pedro volcano. the site is next to Boonoo Boonoo National Park (the Aboriginal pronounciation is "Bunna Boonoo"), 25 kilometres North East of Tenterfield, northern New South Wales. (The welcome camp, which has been open since December, near Basket Swamp Falls in Boonoo Boonoo State forest, is now closed so please disregard all previous emails)
Directions: When you get to Tenterfield, travel 1km north of the Post office on the New England Highway, turning right at the signpost towards Woodenbong. This is the Mount Lindsay Highway. Drive 22 kms until you see the sign for Boonoo Boonoo Falls and National Park, where you turn right and travel for 4kms. Turn left and follow signs to the car park and welcome centre. Greek Rainbow Gathering at Kaiphas beach on the west coast of the Western Peloponnese (south Greece-south of Patras); By road or rail, Patras is a couple of hours south-west of Athens. From Patras take the train south to Pyrgos and Kaiafas. The Kaiafas train station is 500 m. from the beach. Head to the south end of the beach and look for markers or listen for drums. Full Moon Celebration is on the 16th, naturally. From the train station find your way Home at the beach; full moon celebration 16th June; seed camp starts on 28th May. Eastern Germany Rainbow Gathering. 50 Km Eastern of Berlin: Road Nr. B 167 between Wriezen and Cetschin northern of Altewin bend of in Direction Neulewin -> Kerstenbruch -> Karlshof -> Guestebieser Loose.
There you should find the Rainbow signs. Nearest Train stations are Wriezen or Alttrebin

Italian Healing Gathering gathering will take place in Toscana, near Montemagiore. Directions: From Firenze to the gathering site at MonteMaggiore. Take a train to Dicomano. Find a bus that services SanBenedetto-in-Alpe village, which is on the Marradi - SanBenedetto road. This is the same road as to the previous Acquacheta gathering site. Ten (10 KM) kilometers South of Marradi, find the PassoD'Eremito....Parking is here. A half hour's walk on the signed trail gets you to the Heart: MonteMaggiore. Welcome Home! :)
About the Gathering: This is a healing gathering. Purification is sought through sweating, fasting, cleaning foods, meditation, and other methods. At previous gatherings of this type, great good times were had by all, with plenty of singing, dancing, the best music, funny circles, and all-night (REAL Italian) pizza parties. This will be a wonderful prelude to the main Romania Wazoo-o-rama. Bring: Bring all good things.... BUT, in addition to the usual "don't brings", add this: Don't bring coffee, tea, tobacco, ganja( and derivatives), sugar, salt, animal fat, chocolate, livestock, pistols, hand grenades, etcetera.
If you absolutely can't live without your favorite substances, and still insist on attending the gathering, then please be warned that Substance Lovers are usually segregated to a seperate camp. There you'll see some folks glumly huddled around a small fire, trying to raise their flagging spirits with cups of bitter black coffee,... or stale chemical-laden filter cigarettes. Russian Rainbow Gathering, at the Sevo lake in the Pskov region. from Saint-Petersburg:
1)by railroad: to the Dedovichi station by a long-distance train or local trains with junctions at Oredezh and Dno; to get fast connections start at 6.41 from Vitebsky train station;
from Dedovichi: by bus to the village of Karpovo, direction Naverezhje; the bus leaves Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., costs 16 roubles;
from the village of Karpovo take the trail to the village of Guscheno, then to the village of Karushino, then follow the signs (about 10 km altogether); there will be Rainbow outposts in Karushino and may be in Guscheno, too;
another option is to take a local diesel train from Dedovichi to Chikhachevo station, then walk 11 km to the village of Sorokino, and there either walk another 13 km to Karpovo, or take a bus (the same one that leaves from Dedovichi, costs 5 roubles from Sorokino), or try to hitch-hike, that is almost impossible there (no traffic);
2) by bus, from the bus station, direction Velikije Luki: to the village of Sorokino (daily, costs 60 roubles);
3) hitch-hiking: highway M20 to Ludon:, then a local highway east to Porhov, then a highway to Velikije Luki to Sorokino;
from Pskov: by bus to the village of Naverezhje; the bus leaves Saturdays and Sundays at 8.10 a.m. and costs 28 roubles; from Naverezhje take a trail to the village of Karushino, then follow the signs (about 12 km altogether);
from Moscow: by train to Velikije Luki, then take a diesel local train to Dedovichi or Chihachevo through Novosokolniki; or local trains to Bologoje, from Bologoje to Dno, from Dno to Dedovichi.
A parking lot for the cars will be in the village of Guscheno, which is accessible from the highway down the Ratovo road, that starts between the villages of Karpovo and Sysojevo where a table and a bench stand under an apple-tree. For map and details contact: Saint-Petersburg:

To get here, drive or take a train to the Piatra Neamt and then a bus to Tazlau thru Roznov. If you are coming from the south, go to Bacau or Roznov with a train, then bus to Tazlau . When in Tazlau, walk south back out of town towards Frumoasa and turn right at the dirt road after the bridge, about 4 km out of town. 4 more km's and welcome home! Southern Germany Rainbow Gathering. The site is near Ischl wich is nothern of Chiemsee a large Lake near the Austrian Border. Here are the directions to get there:
By train: I can only name the nearest train Station which is Altenmark. You can get there from Muenchen either via Traunstein or via Muehldorf and Garching.
By Car: From Munich take the B 304 to Wasserburg then to Altenmark. At Obing which is half way between Wasserburg and Altenmark, turn right in Direction Seebruck. At Roitham turn left to Ischl. At the beginning of Ischl there is the Car parking. Look for Rainbow signs from there.

Argentina Rainbow Gathering at tres piletas, Rio Quilpo, 4 kilometers from San Marcos Sierra. Since prehistoric times this has been a ceremonial place and in 1806 the area has been returned to the native Comechingon and Sanaviron tribes. The Incas came down south to this regions to gather herbs and utilize a big parabolic antenna, formed by the hills with in their centre the salt lakes.

Romanian Rainbow National Gathering. Place: Gilan mountains contact / infoline 069-428586 Directions: from town of Cluj-Napoca you go with bus, or automobile, via national highway 1 (E60) direction Oradea. No more than 15 km west of Cluj is Gilan village. Turn southwest at Gilan until the village of Maguri-Racatau. Contact the major of Maguri-Racatau. He will have site-specific info. This is the first-time Roamanian national gathering. Many first-time Romanian Rainbows were inspired by the Tazlau gathering to pull this together. we hope for a great success.

Little gathering at Plitvica Lakes from october 12th to 16rh 2000. It's pleasure to invite all of you, the familly, to beautiful natural protected park in Croatia called Plitvica Lakes. We are gathering together to collect our energy and make some scouting expeditions. On October 13th there will be a full moon celebration. Next day we need to talk. A lot. We need all the help we can use in scouting. We are not experienced in scouting, so if enyone feels like it, they can participate in scouting, please, we are here. We are bringing topographic maps with us, maybe some photos.
The site for the gathering is in a small vilage called Babin Potok. When you arive in Zagreb (capital of Croatia) you go to KARLOVAC and afterwards, in the SPLIT - ZADAR - PLITVICE direction. After SLUNJ be prepared to turn to the left where a big sign is for RESTORANT and name BORJE. You go in the direction of SENJ - GOSPIC. After about 20 km you will come into Babin Potok. You ask the locals for the house of the Egich family. We are there, in the field with a tipi...
