I personally think that Mayor Giuliani (aka Benito Mussolini) and his
fascist blue boys will eventually have to face mass shame for this
bullshit...No wonder people hate cops..No wonder these repressive laws
make one want to burn the stars and stripes

Giuliani Promises Wider Drug Crackdown
10/2/97
Rudolph Giuliani promises to take aim at drugs, if the popular = mayor is elected to a second term.
In a speech at New York Law School y= esterday, the mayor outlined a plan to direct $80 million towards curbing= drug abuse.
He said that the NYPD will expand its crackdown on drugs t= o areas like the South Bronx and southeast Queens.
Other details of the= plan include imposing curfews for juveniles on probation; expanding drug= -prevention programs in the schools; and increasing drug treatment progra= ms in jails.
The plan also calls for the development of a drug-free zon= e around Washington Square Park, which has long been a gathering place fo= r the drug culture.
But a spokesperson for Giuliani's Democratic challe= nger, Ruth Messinger, says that the mayor promised drug treatment on dema= nd when he was a candidate four years ago, but never delivered.
In resp= onse, the mayor's press office says that anyone who is serious about gett= ing help for drug abuse can now get it.
