This is a typical scouting picture, digging a vehicle out of a snow
drift. This drift was on FS 505 by where it turns into FS 520, about
where Bus Village now is. We also hiked in from here several times
just to get to the trailhead while scouting, so the walk from parking
isn't too bad, and it's mostly downhill.
This was a scout camp where a large snow drift closed the road about 5
miles from where we wanted to be. So we camped here for a few days and
beat our way in through snow drifts, swamps, and riover crosssings on
foot and by mountain bike.
This is a view looking from the trailhead & supply drop off point down
the valley the trail starts in. Yo can see the initial 2 track dirt
road, which then turns into the trail.
This is looking up main meadow from the south end. Most of the camps
(and where the water is) will be at the far end of this meadow.
This is the west side of the same meadow from the same location,
This is the other maadow that parallels the main meadow. This is likly
to be one of the main areas for kitchens and camping as it has springs
uphill.

The trailhead as the Kiddie Village bus arrives to unload. All of the
parking is up FS 505 from the trailhead. There is limited parking by
the trailhead, so please only use this as a drop off point.
