The 1986 North American Annual was in Long Hollow, near Cobham in Allegheny National Forest.

These pictures and captions are all by Dana.

The kitchen was at the foot of the trail down from the road.

Moondancer's Meadow was very lively at night, with entertainment, dancing and mostly excellent music. There were bonfires on pedastals and gas lanterns inside paper globes for light, and a ride called the "Zoom!"

The tipi camp was larger than it looks.

The "welcome" pavilion (I guess you'd call it.) was a trailer formerly used for missle launch tracking equipment. It was NASA's or somebody's surplus. I don't know what the large characters mean.

The gate with the Freedom street sign was the most welcome sight after a long haul on the road.

For general information about the Rainbow Family and regional events, please first look around the web site. You can find most info you'd want by going back to the top level and searching again. Good spots to start are the Calendar of regional Events, or the Hotlines.
