there is some indication or room for speculation for next year---at the end
of june there was a big pow-wow in portland involving top brass from the law
enforcement and the line officers who worked last years gathering--the feed
back i got from one f.s. employee (a noted fire team leader) is that the
outcome of the meeting was they agreed to continue to disagree on which
approach should be used in dealing with the family--a three person team was
selected,drafted or however the f.s. does these things to be part of the f.s.
movie in ariz. next summer--i know one of the people selected and he seems to
at least be an honest, no bullshit type guy, i didn't find out who the other
two were, i guess if we wanted to we could get ahold of someone in the f.s.
and ask about who has already been selected for next years inncident command
team--not sure that it really matters
one thing to keep in mind is that we are going back into an area where the
malcom jours/billy ball faction is extremely strong and
