The Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe released a report
just a couple of weeks ago on Slovakia. With the right technology, it
can be viewed by accessing our website, http://www.house.gov/csce/
(We are also trying to get it posted on the website in a more user-friendly
format.) There is a specific (albeit short) section within that report
on the Roma. It is probably helpful to understand that the problems
Roma experience in Slovakia right now are exacerbated by the general
back-sliding in the overall field of democratization.

You may also be interested in seeing the superb report on
Slovakia prepared by the European Roma Rights Center. It can be
accessed through their website at:
