Yes. Thanks folks for bringing this up. Some of us who are even java
jerks the rest of the year obstain from even the coffee, or caffein tea at
Gatherings. As someone who is both a focaliser (yes in that upper
30-something age group) and helper now at Brew-Ha-Ha [#1 note] (when not at
Info or taking time off) I see Gatherings as part of an annual "purification"
to get more spiritually tuned-up each year. Part of my receipe for Rainbow
Boot Camp is long hikes up & down hill with packs on, and cleansing followed
by a controlled fast.
#1 - Karin mentioned "Serenity Ridge", I mention "Brew-Ha-Ha". They are not
one in the same but they operate together, with pretty much the same
agreements. Both are the products of Rainbow AA & NA, etc. Brew-Ha-Ha in
the Tea Kitchen area, and campfire pit/circle, while Serenity Ridge is always
just above as the camping area and a separate campfire circle for the
AA/NA/12-step meetings. Oh, and uh, Karin and the other folks going to the
CA Council... maybe I'll bring up the Rainbow Boot Camp idea again there.
Love,
Dwight "Whitefeather"

Serenity Ridge is a 100% substance free space. It happens at some
regionals and at the nationals. No cafene or tobacco allowed nor
anything stronger.

If you're hanging out with younger family, they tend to be more into the
substance thing.

Most of the folks I know that are my age and older (37), either don't do
substances, or do very little.

Please keep coming back.

Love,

Karin
