You raise a couple of very good points here, Julia, and, after returning
from a 2 1/2 month voyage of chasing blessings and dreams I have returned
and after wading through literally thousands of collecting e's I would like
to say it's great to be home and wish blessings and dreams on all my family.

1) God created MAN...male AND female created He THEM

"MAN" here is all inclusive...as opposed to "man" as a designation for the
male which has, since creation, come into use. And i think it is an
abomination to put one above the other...of which for any to do so displays
a complete and selfish lack of understanding of Scripture...for to be God's
children, whether male of female, implies equality before God. True love
is sacrificial putting the other's interests before one's self...hence the
idea of submission and subjection--each to the other voluntarilly

2) as to the feminine connotation, "in His image" created He them....we
find that at creation The Spirit moved across the face of the deep...a
slightly deeper study brings out the feminine as a mother bird hovers over
creation...as a mother bird protectively covers her young under her wings

I think, in answer to your musing question as to what caused the change it
may be more semantical on the one hand and the confusion of of the
originally intended "MAN" as opposed to "man" on the other.

blessings and dreams,
