Clarification: by "you are no longer under the protection of law," I most certainly do not wish to imply that there should be greater regulation of individual conduct by government; rather, it is the government that needs to be held in check. Essentially, the Supreme Court gave itself dictatorial power over the legal system Tuesday night, and now, as a result, you can be executed without any inquiry into the validity of the sentence. -- Mike
