Extend-A-Cell
Cellular Booster and Repeater Systems
cost-effective new strategies for expanding cellular system coverage


Extend-A-Cell II low-power boosters can fill small holes up to two miles
across and can be located up to six miles from the donor cell and as far as
two miles from the boosted area. High-power Extend-A-Cell IV repeaters can
cover an area the same size as a conventional cell - an entire town or suburb,
in some cases - and can be located 30 miles or more from the donor cell.

Low-Power Cellular Boosters

Provides coverage for relatively small dead spots, holes, tunnels and zones of
marginal operation within existing cellular service area. Can also cover
small fringe areas with high subscriber potential such as affluent
neighborhoods or key commercial zones on the edges of your present coverage.

Antenna Specialists low power Extend-A-Cells are compatible with any AMPS
cellular system, A or B.

Extend-A-Cell IV
High-Power Cellular Repeaters

Designed to provide wide-area cellular service in large rural or remote areas
with relatively low cellular traffic where a conventional cell site would be
difficult to justify.

You must provide 2 mobile coverage antennas.

The standard outdoor cabinet employs a heat exchanger to provide a clean, low
humidity environment for the electronics.

A battery charger is provided as standard equipment. A battery system which
is float-charged by the standard battery charger may be utilized if required
(customer supplied).

Extend-A-Cell IV can be operated from a customer-furnished 24 VDC battery
plant. Also, remote operation from a solar panel array and battery system can
be furnished upon request.

DC Current Requirements....... Maximum-35 A @ 28 Vdc
Standby-15 A @ 28 Vdc

Battery Backup
(Customer provided)........... 4 hrs (typical) using 100 Ah external batteries
